Frequently Asked Questions
The Academic Journal Impact Factor (AJIF) is a structured system for evaluating academic journals and assigning a rating from 1 to 10, reflecting their scholarly quality, credibility, and impact. It combines quantitative metrics and qualitative assessment to provide a reliable measure of journal excellence.
Journals with a valid p-ISSN and/or e-ISSN can apply for AJIF evaluation.
The Impact Factor is based on two components:
- Total Quality Contributing Factor (TQCF): Measures Originality (50%), Scientific Quality (20%), Peer Review (20%), Regularity & Stability (5%), and Technical Editing Quality (5%).
- Articles Published Score (APS): Depends on the number of articles published during the year.
Formula: AJIF Impact Factor = TQCF × APS
Journals are assessed on:
- Originality – Contribution of new knowledge or innovative research.
- Scientific Quality – Accuracy, clarity, and reproducibility.
- Peer Review – Integrity and rigor of the process.
- Regularity & Stability – Consistency in publishing schedule.
- Technical Editing – Formatting, figures, tables, and readability.
- Additional Factors – Indexing, international reach, editorial quality, and print/online presentation.
